Now, let’s get into the intense details of Sam’s furious reaction to Jason turning informant and Finn’s dramatic move after a work showdown!
At home, Finn prepared Violet for a day at the pool, packing her suitcase with everything she needed. When Violet expressed a desire to accompany him to work, Finn reassured her and promised to set up another day for that. Georgie arrived to take Violet, and after a hug and some reassuring words from Finn, she left with Georgie. Alone, Finn eyed his medical badge after briefly considering a drink, and decided to head out with it.
At the hospital, Terry invited Elizabeth to join her for a break, but Elizabeth declined due to her busy schedule. Terry suggested a meeting to catch up on various matters, and soon after, comforted Elizabeth over her separation from Finn and her concerns for Violet. Elizabeth reassured Finn at the nurse’s station that they were still family, despite the recent strain.
Portia then approached Finn, requesting a meeting with her and Terry. In Terry’s office, they confronted Finn about his alcohol consumption, proposing AA meetings, drug testing, and supervision. They warned that if he didn’t cooperate, the issue would be escalated to the executive committee and the medical board, potentially leading to public exposure. Portia even threatened to revoke his medical license if he didn’t agree to the oversight. Finn, feeling targeted, angrily retorted, “I’ll do the work for you—I quit,” and stormed out.
Later, Finn emerged from the elevator and lashed out at Elizabeth for reporting him. Elizabeth calmly explained that his drinking was destroying his life and it was the only way to bring back the Finn she knew and loved. Finn, feeling betrayed, ordered Elizabeth to stay away from him and Violet before storming off again. Portia reassured Elizabeth that she had made the right decision, though Elizabeth worried about the impact on Violet.
Back at home, a furious Finn poured himself a drink, succumbing to his frustrations. Meanwhile, at the pool, Joselyn planned to spend her break with her friend Trina, who had arrived unexpectedly. Trina’s boyfriend had recently passed away, so Joselyn advised Giovani to be cautious. Trina soon noticed Dex in his uniform and left with Giovani to retrieve clean towels. Joselyn praised Dex’s uniform and they discussed their weekend plans, agreeing to help each other with their respective tasks.
As Giovani observed Trina’s involvement, he realized she was giving Joselyn and Dex space to sort things out. He offered the kids dessert later if they followed pool rules, and Maxie arrived to help James with his sunscreen. Nina joined them, laughing about their antics. After Maxie informed Nina about Willow’s party, she cautioned Nina against deceiving Willow again, but Nina reassured her that she and Drew had a solid plan.
Carly arrived at the coffee warehouse to talk to Jason, who reminded her they didn’t communicate much. Carly informed him about Drew’s congressional campaign, stressing the need for the family to maintain a good public image. Jason insisted he would reclaim his life after his business with the FBI was over. Carly expressed hope that Drew’s campaign wouldn’t interfere with Jason’s plans and promised to support him no matter what.
Later, Sam discovered an audio file explaining Jason’s reasons for cooperating with the FBI, which infuriated her. Despite Spinelli’s insistence that Jason’s actions were noble, Sam was determined to protect her children from the fallout. She confronted Carly outside her Metro Court office, stating that she needed to hear the recording.
