In the week of July 1st, we find EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) in a tight spot as he tries to keep Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) from revealing the truth about Jude’s maternity. EJ’s intense negotiation with Melinda might push Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) to consider hiring her despite their contentious history. Kristen may reluctantly offer Melinda a position at DiMera Enterprises, while also advising Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun), who might end up working there too.

Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) will have flashbacks of his night with Ava as he celebrates reuniting with Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus). Unbeknownst to Gabi, Stefan’s secret about his affair with Ava remains hidden, but it’s only a matter of time before the truth comes out. Meanwhile, Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) will seek updates on Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) from Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) since Chanel continues to shut her out.

Elsewhere, Abe Carver (James Reynolds) will be intrigued by a business offer from Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow), but things will take an unexpected turn, leaving their plans in jeopardy. Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) will deliver bad news to Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) about the repercussions of breaking Clyde Weston (James Read) out of captivity, which might lead to jail time for Steve.

At Bayview, Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) will bring Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) to visit Robert “Bobby” Stein (Blake Berris), leading to a heated exchange as Stephanie lashes out at Bobby for keeping Everett Lynch (Blake Berris) under control.
