### EJ Shatters Nicole & Eric’s Dreams – Theresa’s Terrifying Discovery | Days of Our Lives Spoilers

On Wednesday, July 17th, Days of Our Lives delivered some intense drama. EJ DiMera’s actions shattered the dreams of Nicole Walker and Eric Brady. Meanwhile, Theresa Donovan made a terrifying discovery that could change everything.

Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien) ran into Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) in the town square and pleaded with her to create a second wedding cake for a double wedding. Chanel agreed and went inside Sweet Bits to check for the necessary ingredients. This gave Sophia Choi (Meline Ke) a chance to approach Theresa. They took turns teasing Holly Jonas (Ashley Pimus) about Tate Donovan’s (Leo Howard) lacrosse camp. Sophia remembered seeing Tate with Holly and spying on their secret summer plans. She almost spilled the beans but held back when she realized it was Theresa’s big day.

At the Horton Lodge, Holly was spending time with Tate, playing games and getting cozy. Their makeout session was interrupted by a knock at the door. Hoping the visitor would go away, Holly ignored it, but it turned out to be Sophia, who declared that Tate and Holly were busted.

Over at the DiMera mansion, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) found EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) drinking and pondering Nicole’s request for a divorce. Johnny confronted EJ about his deceit and urged him to sign the papers. Despite his anger, Johnny reassured his father that he would always be there for him. Johnny and Chanel decided to stay at the mansion a bit longer for EJ’s sake.

In another part of Salem, Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) and Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) had a heart-to-heart about their future. Eric admitted he had been running from his pain but felt a new beginning was possible in Salem with Nicole and their son, Jude Brady (Oliver McLardy). Nicole confessed she never got over Eric and would have left EJ if she had known Eric was Jude’s father. Just as they were about to kiss, EJ arrived, revealing the unsigned divorce papers and warning that he wouldn’t let Nicole and Eric be happy together.

Meanwhile, Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) shocked Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) by announcing his imminent marriage to Theresa. Although initially reluctant, Brady decided to attend the wedding for Alex’s sake. Teresa was emotional and apologized to Brady for their past, but assured him that he would always be special to her because of their son, Tate. Panic set in when Theresa realized Tate was supposedly at lacrosse camp, as she wanted him at the wedding.

Back at Eric’s place, Nicole arrived to pick up Jude. Eric shared how having his son back felt like a dream. Nicole worried about finding a new place to live, and Eric reassured her about Holly’s acceptance of him as Jude’s father. Nicole then surprised Eric by mentioning her intention to divorce EJ. Eric was initially hesitant but understood Nicole’s need for stability for Jude.

As Eric and Nicole discussed their plans, EJ arrived, furious. He handed Nicole the unsigned divorce papers, declaring he had no intention of letting them go. EJ vowed that if Nicole and Eric thought they could ride off into the sunset, they were sadly mistaken.
