She excitedly announces plans to attend a show fitting the next day and mentions she might recommend Leo as the primary writer for a project she’s working on. After thanking Leo for a great time, Marina rushes out, leaving a confused Leo pondering the situation and contemplating the next steps for his scheme.
Leo then makes a call to Gwen, hoping to discuss his troubling encounter with Marina and seeking her advice. He leaves a heartfelt message, expressing his feelings of missing her, despite knowing he probably won’t hear back. As he walks through Horton Town Square, he notices a troubled Xander, who is unsuccessfully trying to reach Sarah. Xander leaves a voicemail expressing concern over missing their last ship ride and hopes Sarah finds the key to their getaway cabin soon.
Leo seizes the opportunity to confront Xander, teasing him about his public declaration of love for Sarah. Xander is in a rush, trying to resolve the issue of missing Sarah, while Leo, with a mix of sarcasm and genuine surprise, remarks on the depth of Xander and Sarah’s relationship, which he initially doubted. Leo then humorously offers to take Sarah’s place at the cabin if she doesn’t show up, before departing.
Meanwhile, Xander receives a call from Maggie, who informs him that Sarah hasn’t been at the mansion. Xander begins to worry that Sarah might have car trouble. Just then, Fiona, driving with a heavily intoxicated Brady, accidentally hits Sarah, who is lying unconscious on the ground. Fiona, shocked and horrified, tries to tend to Sarah while Brady remains in a drunken stupor. Xander arrives, desperately caring for Sarah and calling for emergency help, while Fiona, overwhelmed with guilt, flees the scene.
In a dramatic turn of events, Kayla and Jack are in the hospital, where Jack introduces a woman claiming to be his daughter. Kayla presents DNA results confirming the woman’s identity as Abigail. Jack is overjoyed but is met with Abigail’s reluctance. Despite Jack’s attempts to reconnect and explain the situation, Abigail insists on leaving, feeling overwhelmed and disconnected. Chad, deeply emotional, pleads with Abigail to stay, explaining that they are family and showing her pictures of his children, Thomas and Charlotte. Abigail remains skeptical but is somewhat swayed by Chad’s heartfelt plea and agrees to consider his offer to stay at the Chateau.
