Home and Away fans floored as Australian soap beauty ‘looks the same’ after 24 years

Home and Away star Ada Nicodemou took a trip down memory lane as she shared a video of her character’s first ever scene on the Australian soap – but fans were distracted

Home and Away fans were in awe as they praised Ada Nicodemou’s ageless beauty.

The actress, 46, recently took to Instagram and shared a video of her character’s first ever seen. Ada made her first appearance in March 2000, making her one of the longest serving cast members of the Australian soap.

Leah arrived in Summer Bay after running away from her fiancé and was picked up by Vinnie Patterson (Ryan Kwanten), who eventually became her husband. “Throwing it all the way back to Leah’s first scene on Home and Away from 2000!” she wrote alongside the video.

Fans immediately raced to the comments to compliment Ada on her youthful looks, with several pointing out that she looks the same nearly 24 years later. One shared: “You havn’t even aged!!!!”

“Jeez, she got more beautiful with age!” gushed another fan. A third agreed: “So good!! You literally look the same.” Someone else penned: “Love it! And you look the same. Gorgeous!”

“How is it you look EXACTLY the same?” asked a fifth. While another declared: “Ain’t even aged, look younger than ever.” Ada has been at the centre of the soap’s most dramatic storyline over the past two decades.

At the end of last year, Leah and partner Justin Morgan (James Stewart) were kidnapped and left for dead in an abandoned warehouse. Despite escaping, Leah has been haunted with vivid nightmares of their kidnap.

Discussing the traumatic scenes, the mum-of-one explained: “It’s been challenging. Filming this storyline has been quite draining – but it’s a really important story to tell.”

She added to New Idea: “I’ve had a lot of big storylines over the past year, so it’s been really good career-wise.” Teasing what’s in store for Leah in 2024, Ada told Yahoo Lifestyle: “It will be another big year for Leah but I think there’s a lot more joy in her life this year and the fans may finally get what they have been asking for a while…”
