In addition to her role in Port Charles, Carolyn has recently welcomed a new furry friend into her life—a cute little puppy she adopted from Animal Saints Rescue Society during a trip to Massachusetts. However, the joy of bringing this new puppy into her home has been tinged with difficulty and heartbreak.

Initially named Earnest, the puppy, who has since been renamed Bella Lugosi, made a rocky start. On their very first day together, the pup bit Carolyn twice, which led to the name change. Despite the rough beginning, Carolyn has shared updates indicating that Bella has since settled down and is adjusting well.

Carolyn humorously noted that getting Bella into his carrier at 4:00 a.m. has been quite a challenge, and she joked about potentially hiding a trazadone tablet in some ground beef to ease the process. Yet, amidst the difficulties, she described Bella as a “gem of a boy” and expressed deep gratitude to Ivy Abits for introducing her to this new family member.

She also reflected on her past pets, feeling that her late beloved animals—Sophie, Tucker, Spanky, Jean, and especially Arbuckle—are watching over and sending Bella to her from afar. Carolyn reported that Bella was exhausted after their trip to Boston Logan Airport, and despite a tough morning struggle with the carrier, they are now heading home together.
