In a shocking twist, Sam McCall confronts Carly Corinthos with a revelation about Jason Morgan’s hidden actions. Sam understands why Jason let everyone believe he was dead, and she visits Carly’s office to discuss it. Carly initially thinks Sam is making it all about her, but Sam insists it’s not. She explains that Jason’s deception affected everyone who loved him, including Liz, Jake, and her Aunt. Sam then plays a taped recording from a gathering of the five families, where Carly had assumed control of Sonny’s operations.
Carly is stunned to hear this recording, obtained by Spinelli from the FBI, as she had no idea it existed. The meeting, which took place nearly three years ago, was under tight security. In another part of Port Charles, Jason and Anna Devane clash at the warehouse about how to extract information from Valentin Cassadine. During a later confrontation, Valentin realizes Anna was present, hoping Jason got everything on tape. Jason, however, doesn’t record his conversations.
As the story unfolds, Finn’s struggles take a dramatic turn. After a night of drinking, Finn is found unconscious with a severe hand injury by his daughter, Violet. She calls Tracy for help, fearing her father might be dead. Tracy rushes to the scene, and paramedics arrive to provide care. Tracy reassures Violet, explaining that Finn likely fell and injured himself but is just sleeping now. Violet, worried and guilt-ridden, is reluctant to leave her father’s side.
Back at home, Maxie Jones senses something is wrong with Finn and expresses her concerns to Spinelli. Sam arrives to update Spinelli on her visit to Carly and the revelations about Jason. Sam insists that Carly, despite her expertise in deception, was unaware of the depth of Jason’s background. Spinelli assures Sam that Carly will be fine, citing Jason’s assurances.
