Cash still hasn’t heard about his application to rejoin the force, and it’s playing large on his mind. He checks in with Rose and tells her about his plans. His old friend promises to look into things for him.

At the same time, Felicity still has Rory’s number, and Eden asks Cash to persuade her to call. He talks his sister into being brave and tells Eden that he’s taking his own advice by calling police HQ to check on the status of his application. Will Cash be allowed back on the force?

Meanwhile, Irene explains her decision to Leah, who’s shocked to hear her friend is remortgaging her house to settle Bronte’s lawsuit. She thinks she’s making the wrong choice, but Irene talks about her good fortune – how can she say that her possessions are worth more than Bronte’s life?

Her words strike a chord with Leah, who decides to make her own contribution. That afternoon they give Bronte the good news – they’re giving her fifty grand, half each, and Dana seethes as she overhears the exchange.

Elsewhere, Xander is out of favour with Dana over his continued support of Bronte, and she blinks back tears after he again doubts her. When she does get the con artist alone, she confronts her again for scamming Irene. Cornered, Bronte lets the mask slip just for a minute – hissing at her to prove it.

Dana takes this as an admission, but a last-ditch effort to change Irene and Leah’s minds fails. Rose asks for evidence when she tries to report the crime. Harper and Xander attempt an intervention after another clash, and Dana is outraged, kicking her boyfriend out when he continues to press. Can Dana convince anyone of Bronte’s scheming?
