Sarah Roberts has spoken out about her newfound ‘zest for life’ after splitting from James Stewart.
Former Home and Away star Sarah Roberts has provided a heartwarming Instagram update to fans after people were left shocked to find out that she had quietly split from James Stewart and he had moved on to dating his current Home and Away co-star Ada Nicodemou.
Sarah confirmed her divorce from James in April this year in an interview with Stellar magazine. “I just want to say that I am divorced,” she told the publication. “Sometimes people grow apart and that’s okay… I got to a point where I realised I couldn’t grow in the way I wanted to within this particular relationship.”
Sarah and James married in 2019 after two years of dating, but rumours began circulating that the pair had split in October 2022, when James didn’t attend the premiere for Sarah’s movie Wog Boys Forever.
Not long after Sarah announced her split from James, The Sunday Telegraph reported that James and his Home and Away co-star and on-screen love interest Ada Nicodemou were dating, with rumours of a romance first sparked at Channel Seven’s Christmas party last year.
Speculation is rife that James and Ada will officially be making their public debut as a couple at the 2024 Logies in August, and now Sarah has taken to Instagram to share a personal message with friends and fans after her tough start to the year.
‘Brought me back to life’
In a dedication to two of her friends Ben and Danni, Sarah credited the pair for putting a roof over her head and giving her a ‘safe haven’.
“These two. Brought me back to life. Literally. Put a roof over my head, filled me with wine, cookies, memories, (the best) carbonara (I’ve ever had!), giggles, deep conversations, self-confidence, a new found zest for life. A safe haven on this twisty-turny journey,” she wrote. “The only regret I have from living with them is that I didn’t take enough photos but I definitely filled the memory bank to the absolute brim.”
The Instagram post was flooded with supportive comments, with Danni writing, “Couldn’t love ya more,” and Sarah’s mum leaving a comment saying, “Thank you to Ben and Danni for being there at a time she most needed the support. You are both awesome.”
Other friends and fans left comments, with one fan in particular getting pointed with their remark. “You deserve to be with someone that wants you not everyone they work with,” they wrote.
“So special! People become your family at just the right time,” another person said, while someone else said it was now Sarah’s time to shine. “This is Sarah’s Season to Soar ❤❤❤ You’ve absolutely got this xxx,” they commented.
