In the upcoming episode of “Day of our Lives” on Thursday, July 4th, the drama reaches new heights as Tate Black reassures Holly Jonas about their plans to be together this summer. However, Tate needs to finalize some details first. After hanging up with Holly, Tate convinces Aaron Green to attend lacrosse camp in his place, allowing Tate to hide locally and meet Holly secretly. Meanwhile, Brady Black calls Theresa Donovan to the townhouse, where she mistakenly thinks it’s about their night together. Brady clarifies that it’s about sending Tate to lacrosse camp, a proposal that Theresa surprisingly agrees to, believing it’s best for Tate and Holly to be apart.
Elsewhere, Rachel Black overhears Holly talking to Tate and threatens to tell Nicole DiMera about their secret meetings. Holly attempts to bribe Rachel with perfume, but Rachel recognizes it as a bribe. Holly tries to convince Rachel it’s a gesture of friendship, but Brady becomes suspicious when he walks in on their conversation. Rachel and Holly manage to convince Brady they were only discussing perfumes. Rachel then runs upstairs to fetch light sticks for the fireworks, giving Brady the chance to inform Holly about Tate’s lacrosse camp plans. Holly feigns surprise but eventually understands the situation. Brady hints that if Tate and Holly prove their trustworthiness, they might reconsider their options in their senior year.
Later, Tate finalizes the plan with Holly, with Aaron agreeing to impersonate him at lacrosse camp. Tate has to cut the call short when Brady and Rachel arrive at the pub, where Brady informs Tate that Theresa has also agreed to the camp idea, assuring him it’s the best course of action. Tate pretends to be sad about leaving but later meets Holly for the fireworks, where they share a kiss while someone watches from afar.
On the same day, Maggie Kiriakis visits Xander Cook and Sarah Horton to present Xander with a check, his share of the inheritance, distributed more equitably among the heirs. Xander, moved by the gesture, declines the money, stating he wants to be independent and believes Victor never intended for him to have it. Sarah, proud of Xander’s decision, expresses her admiration by making love to him as they watch the fireworks.
Justin Kiriakis learns of Alex Kiriakis’ engagement to Theresa and is disappointed. He insists on a prenuptial agreement to protect Alex’s wealth.
