Now, let’s get into the juicy details of Mac’s homecoming shocker and Alexis awaiting the verdict on her law license reinstatement!
Alexis apologized at The Invader for missing Chase and Brooklyn’s wedding, explaining that if she had known it was Gregory’s last night, she would have attended. She mentioned that having Gregory angry at her had made her a better person, a sentiment echoed by Chase and Brooklyn, who smiled as Alexis showed them the good luck charm Gregory had given her. Setting the charm aside, Alexis brought up the topic of Chase and Brooklyn’s visitation issues.
After speaking with Finn, Alexis reported that things hadn’t turned out well. She noted that Finn was in worse shape than ever and that unless he was ready to listen, there was nothing she could say to convince him. Despite Brooklyn’s worries about Violet, Alexis encouraged Chase to persevere. Chase acknowledged that Violet didn’t seem aware of Finn’s drinking, which piqued Alexis’s interest. Brooklyn warned that if Violet stayed with Finn, things would probably change. As a former lawyer, Chase asked about their options. Alexis cautioned that involving the courts and Child Protective Services might result in Violet ending up in a group home or foster care, a prospect that horrified Chase and Brooklyn. Alexis advised Chase to seek help from a qualified social worker, assuring him that Finn was a good man who was just lost.
After their conversation, Chase confided in Brooklyn about his desire to help his brother return home. Brooklyn, reluctant to part with him, clarified that she was going to the hospital to discuss Finn and Violet with someone she trusted. Meanwhile, Diane visited Alexis’s office with a registered letter from the court of appeals. She informed Alexis that the letter contained news about her future, causing Alexis to waver between opening it herself or having Diane do it.
Finally, Alexis decided to let Diane read the letter. Diane revealed both good and bad news: Alexis’s disbarment was lifted because it had been improperly applied, but her driver’s license had been revoked for two years. Initially depressed by the two-year wait to resume her legal career, Alexis was overjoyed when Diane clarified that the suspension had already begun four years earlier, meaning it was no longer in effect. Alexis would soon be able to practice law again after completing 48 hours of continuing education.
Meanwhile, at the Quartermaine stables, James was thrilled that Comet had jumped over a small tree. Tracy, pleased but lacking the bravery to jump herself, asked Cody to saddle her horse, Hades. Cody reassured her that her horse was ready, but he had to leave to drop James off at home. Back at the Metro Court pool, Gio was setting up when Joselyn arrived with Avery. Joselyn introduced Avery to Gio before leaving her for a swimming lesson.
Later, Natalia informed Sonny about Blaze’s challenging recording session and her worries about their daughters, expressing her struggle to imagine true happiness in their relationship. Sonny, offering support, suggested that Christina and Alison would have to work things out on their own. Natalia, working on letting go of control, received a text about a meeting and handed Sonny a thumb drive with Blaze’s recording, asking him to give it to Brooklyn if she didn’t show up.
Brooklyn, after surveying the pool area and not finding Natalia, inquired about Sonny’s whereabouts. Sonny handed her the thumb drive, and they discussed Finn’s drinking problem and the need to remove Violet from the toxic environment. In the meantime, Gio asked Joselyn about moving into the flat above the Quartermaine garage, and she promised to discuss it with Michael.
